Bayswater, dating back to the time of the Doomsday Book, is a district within the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in central London. Strangely, Bayswater station and Queensway station are literally a stone's throw from each other, at either end of Queensway. The beautiful green spaces of Hyde Park are just a couple of minutes walk from the station and a short walk through the park will take you to sights worth seeing such as the Albert Memorial and Albert Hall itself. Bayswater is a vibrant and busy area, all day and throughout the night you will find locals and tourists milling around the many shops and restaurants that are open late into the night and some into the very early hours of the morning.
